Port Lincoln - Oct. thru Nov. 12

At the 'SHED" just managed to get the van parked up without wiping out the mirror's.

Gate width to be modified, for stress free access!

Calm and warm evening down to Alex Stenros slip
and land a couple of squid for the table.

0500hrs on the water with my brother Neil (Chook) and bagged out by 0615

Time for coffee and home made biscuits before heading home to clean the fish

0815hrs the fish are in the freezer

Anti rattle bolt had sheared off and unable to get the towing hitch out, grind off sheered bolt thread, down to TC fabrication to get the tow hitch built up with weld to prevent the rattle and do away with the bolt.
Another early morning fish and bagged out within an hour - all King George Whiting. Dragging the descaling bag. Yep! it sure works, gets all the slime off the fish also.Just make sure you have a float or empty water bottle attached or in the bag, if the tow line parts your fish will be relegated to the bottom in a hurry!

All smiles heading home!

Never thought I would be collecting eggs again from these shed's

Tucker getting a ride on the shed floor.

These shed's were used on our parents poultry farm, as they could be moved around the yards as the green feed was cleared

Relocated from the Shed block to LNP -RSS and it's blowing and cold

Around 1100hrs - rain and hail squall. Yep! it was a beauty, annexe all buttoned up. Wind gust recorded 80.6, and wind chill 0.4 degrees.

Later - still cold, shucking Oysters from Swift Water Oysters - Thanks Anthony!

What with a red, lemon and a pinch of salt and Coffin Bay - Swift Water Oysters, how good can it get!!

Our panoramic view of our bay

Good feed here!

Couldn't resist this photo on one of our walks

Early morning visitor's
Calm as - out for an evening cruise

One of Sue's favourites - Superb Wren or Blue Wren

Brother's wife Teresa's daughter marriage at Stamford Hill beach

The happy couple with the paper work.
Same celebrate as ours - Linda Smith

Yes! It's cold wind chill factor in the low teens!

Relics from the past on one of our walks

The bay's are full of these fellow - Leather Jackets

Yep! still cold, hot tea helps

These folks set-up on the beach in front of our camp for the day. You will notice they have set up the gazebo shelter - FOR SOME SHADE! Yet, not one chair is in the shade, strange folks.

Wide view seven Emu's in this mob, another mum with 7 chicks.

Coastal bike ride - neat and no body on the trails or beach

Ready for the morning walk, note the new BBQ cover, and annexe protector.

More relic's in the scrub, Oh! no not 'SUE'

Real teeth breaking crackle on this chunk of roast pork

More wispy clouds

The bay calm as a mill pond, folks in Lincoln do not get to see the sunset over the water, and very few see the sun rise

Locals checking us out on our morning walk

Our camp site signage!

Weather on the way, filled 2 x 20 ltr buckets of rainwater to supplement our water supply

More walking thru the bush

You just never know what you will find on the road on a walk back to camp, 2" receiver plug I am holding, now in place on our Troopy redundant receiver.

Repair to our cliff path steps to the beach
How good can it get

Low tide, tinnies floating time to go fish!
Red legs

Low tide .3 mtr

Our beach view in wide view

Found some drift wood / PLANK - Learning to wood carve
How's that for my 1st effort, soon to be installed in our / MY SHED
Cheeky bugger, checking out our bucket, just as well the fish are in the bucket with the lid on.

This is a 1st, pilot squid
How's this!!

Looking relaxed

BUGGER!, BUGGER!
Not the first one to damage their out board motor
 reversing into the SHED.

Evening squiding and KGW with this fellow in for a feed
on KGW frames

Dropped off Chooks can's and bottles - $57 in his pocket
for fuel to QLD
Ashley out for a test drive in our Troopy, to the Salmon and Millers Hole. Bogged in a sand drift, tire full pressure and no diff's locked. Lowered tires to 30psi and diff's locked and drive out!
Windy and the dolphins going nut's in the surf
and wouldn't you know it_______!!
Millers Hole with 20 ton of salmon
and no rods on-board = BUGGER!!

Visit Anthony with his new boat = impressive with
some mod's for Bill to do
Morning walk find, soon to be a shed table!
Trail walk along the North shore
1st bush fire, got the alarm on the radio, out to Ashleys via Winter Hill, to check it's location. Ashely and Ali away in Adelaide.
Road block to Ashley's place, got thru okay.
Locate fire pump and connect sprinkler system and fire hose, Chook on the phone from the Riverland fruit packing sheds - turn off the choke, just fired up the pump.

All systems working, Tiff, came out to get stuff from the house.
Looks like it's next door - 12 building, house's and vehicles lost at Sleaford Mere

Cruise ship visiting Port Lincoln, in fact the same vessel Ashley and Ali did their Fiji cruise back in 2010. View from our block leaving!
This time we had our rod's, with the fish schools just out of reach until this rouge salmon found Ashley's lure.

Half way down the Millers Hole again and Anthony called, we are going out for a fish at Coffin's Bay. No fish schools in close, so headed to Coffin's bay - just in time to board the new Oyster vessel.

Now that's what you call relaxed fishing, a bit breezy,
so pull up in front of the sand hills. Very slow on the fishing, plus we had reservations at the Lincoln Hotel for one night.

Our 5th Wedding Anniversary at the Lincoln Hotel, no we did not order the $100 KING OYSTER

Sky lights now installed, sure made a big difference,
but the van solar will not fire-up. Oh! well, will use the trickle charger.
Detailing Chooks Nissan for SALE, removed the Clearview mirrors, and any other extra I could get off without depreciating the value.

Loading our tinnie, just scraps past, in-fact had to roll the vehicle a few inches just to make sure it clear the beam.

Off to Wangary - Farm Beach for a few days, to camp with Clarrie and Helen on Helen's brother's block.

Helen's got some pet Magpies.

Clarrie and Helen's bus

Ya! gotta be good to catch them this small!!
Cruising!!
Will be waiting for a bit longer for a feed,
cleaned fish at Mt Dutton boat ramp
Pepper's turn with the clippers!
Don't talk to me, just had a hair cut!!

Gallipoli cliffs and beach
Helen and Clarrie
Back to the beach to find my camera, yep! it fell out of my pouch when getting out of the tinnie. It's an Olympus Tough 820 hence water proof, for our lifestyle activities.
Now I can take the photo, this is when I found the camera missing 500 meters from the beach launch site

All parked up in the shed, Clarrie and Helen delivered our tinnie from Wangary. They are also packing and heading back west in a few days.
All done, our Bushtracker and vehicle parked up for the duration we are on HOLIDAY'S in Thailand.

Two weeks after the 1st Fire out towards Sleaford Mere, a 2nd fire North of the Duck Ponds

Local library updating and downloading e-mails - Ashley rang, this fire has our name on it!! As you will see ______

Looks ominous from down town

Smoke from Paige Street
Top of Winter Hill with security clearing us out

Prison Farm

Smoke over Ashley's drive way, sure looks threatening
Ashley's all set up with fire pump and sprinkler system
Over to Chooks (Neil's) all under control there.

Loading the horses to relocate
We pull out Chook's Nissan and hook up his boat, to our shed, as a precaution
Bill's lads filling the gutters with water

Our tinnie, Chook's boat and Nissan in our shed
Wind changed and smoke over our block and blocked out the bay and Boston Island. With the wind change the Firies contained the fire on the rail line and Hyw. Next day viewing the fire from Winters Hill the fire had not run down as far as news / radio reports were indicating.
